Activism was just the start.
We created this website to inform and interact with the people of Nevada and supporters across the country. Our candidate was born in the most environmentally-conscious and culturally-diverse state in the nation — Hawaii. Now a proud Nevadan for a decade, Jonathan Royce Esteban takes a deep respect for difference to the world of politics. Inspired by a lack of fiscally-conservative, socially liberal figures in Congress, the young activist has now taken the brave leap into federal elections.
As the youngest candidate for Congress, Jonathan leads a new generation of problem solving to the nation’s fastest acting legislative body — the United States House of Representatives. As an advocate for civil liberties and a spending hawk for responsible federal budgets, Jonathan joins a heated battleground race to replace a two-year seat in the 117th Congressional Session (Jan. 2021 - Jan. 2023).
Jonathan is a Valley Viking, a former employee of the Clark County School District, and a Workplace Coordinator at Tesla’s corporate center in Las Vegas. Like so many young people, he has jumped into so many opportunities in our accelerated, competitive economy. He’s worked with union teams for some of the largest trade shows and conventions. He’s heard so many concerns from teachers during his time at the school district. He’s met so many people throughout North Las Vegas and central Nevada. He dives in to new environments to get the work done for one of the most exciting technology firms in the clean energy business.
By far, his proudest moment was being welcomed into Nevada’s tight-knit group of activists — joining their dedicated fight to reform the justice system with End Cash Bail and storming the Nevada State Legislature on Nevada Youth Lobby Day.
